Sonja Darlene Oliver, 50, of Union City died at her home Jan. 15, 2012.

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.

They request that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis or the Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope.

She was born Feb. 2, 1961, in Obion County, daughter of James Howard Oliver of Union City and the late Annie Lee (Alexander) Oliver. She had been the front desk manager for Hampton Inn in Union City for 14 years.

Survivors also include her son, Nicholas Colton Oliver of Union City; her sister, Denise (Oliver) Whitson of Union City; two brothers, James Edward Oliver and Steven Don Oliver, both of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
